How Our Network Works

Request an estimate

Who you talk to

You talk to an independent local provider. Hillarycats Tree Service passes along your request. The provider's own office or crew lead takes it from there. Each provider runs a separate business with its own prices, schedule and equipment.

What happens on the call

Answer first: it is a short chat. Expect questions like these:

  • What kind of tree is it, and how big?
  • Is it down, leaning or still standing?
  • What is it touching: a roof, wires, a fence, a car?
  • Can a truck reach it?

Photos help. Many providers can respond quickly, but timing depends on workload and weather. After the chat, the provider may offer a visit or a written quote.

If a tree just came down

Stay calm. Stay clear of the tree and any wires near it. Keep people out of rooms under damaged areas. Take photos from a safe spot. Then request an estimate. Do not try to cut a tree that is under tension or touching a line.

What to ask a provider

  • Is the quote in writing, and what does it include?
  • Does the price cover cleanup and hauling?
  • Is stump grinding included or separate?
  • Can you show proof of insurance?
  • How will you protect my lawn, roof and foundation?
  • What is the plan if wires are near the tree?
  • When can you start, and what could change that?

Write the answers down. Costs vary by job. In the U.S., tree removal typically runs from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on size, access and risk. A written quote beats a guess.

You are in control

You can say no. You can compare more than one quote. You can ask for a second visit. Be careful with anyone who rushes you or asks for full payment before work starts. A good provider gives you time to decide.
